MozCoffee Dhaka 2016

MozCoffee is on of the best way to recruit new mozillians and FSAs. Every year, in this event, we meet with some new faces and some very good contributor. Like past years, this year we have organized the MozCoffee Dhaka 2016. But this year, it was very different unlike other mozCoffees. In this meetup, we included some funny activities which was really help to gain energy for this event and shared the experiences about the Leader Summit 2016 (who joint the LS).

Asif Raihan, Mahbub Alam Papun and other FSAs and Mozillians helps for the Logistic and Food. We are really thankful to them. 🙂


Our main mission of this meetup was future plan for the Mozilla Bangladesh and the pathways of Mozilla. We mapped our plan for next 6 months. The functional sectors were Firefox OS, FSA, L10n, MDN, MLS, MozGirls, QA, SuMo, Tech Speech and Web Devs. I will explain these at the end. Now want to share from the beginning.

The MozCoffee held in NewsCred Dhaka. It starts at 03:30 pm and finished at 07:00 pm. Before the event started,  Salman Rahman Desh and I talked about the Privacy for the Privacy Week and upcoming Campus Campaign with the FSAs. We did some activities and gather ideas, how to do privacy campaign and how can we aware other about the privacy, how can they protect their privacy from the evil world.




Md Anisur Rahman started the event. He showed the agendas of the event. He showed us how to map the future plan for our functional area. As I mentioned before there were 9 sectors for contribution and FSA program.


But before this MAK vai shared about the experiences of the Lead Summit 2016 witch held in Singapore.


Belayet bhai brought some hardware and mini drone and showed some uses of those.



FSA program:

Firefox OS:

This was also taken by me. I shared about the upcoming plan for the Firefox OS contribution. Who knows C++, they can contribute in the Gecko; who knows JS, HTML, CSS, they can contribute in Back-end and Front-end of FIrefox OS.



Mahay Alam Khan (MAK) bhai is the lead of this sector. He planned for this l10n how to recruit new mozillians and a formation for the next 6 months.



Rashik Ishrak Nahian and Md Anisur Rahman will lead this sector. What is MDN? Why is this important? How to use MDN? these are the main fact and they will share and teach mozillians about these.



Belayet Hossain bhai is leading this. He planned a formation for the next 6 months.



Asma Swapna will lead this new modified section. This is like womoz but with some new task.



Hossain Al Ikram, the QA King is leading and made a fantastic plan for the next 6 months



Ashickur Rahman Bhai, another giant contributor of SuMo is leading this with another SuMo Worrier Pranjal Chakraborty, Fazle Rabby and Nafiur. They planned a formation for the next 6 months


Tech Speech

Salman Rahman Desh will lead this new section of Bangladesh. Here he will teach and show them how to be a good tech speaker.


Web Devs

Rabby Hossain, an extremely good in JS and Safwan Rahman who will lead this sector and teach the mozillians about the web developing.


After All the sessions, we took some photos and finished the MozCoffee Dhaka 2016 with a new hope. 🙂
